The historic centre is best explored on foot: from Corso Vannucci to Piazza IV Novembre, from the Fontana Maggiore to the Palazzo dei Priori, right through to the evocative underground passages of the Rocca Paolina, the city’s symbol. - Spello, more intimate and sun-drenched, is renowned for its stone houses, flower-filled balconies and the harmony between its architecture and the surrounding landscape.
